A bar J Horses came about when Alvin Detweiler and Joe Loveridge joined forces back in 2018 to combine training and selling high quality family and performance type horses. Alvin Detweiler and his family have high standard of care and practice making good horses. They spend everyday in the saddle improving and working on their horses and their horsemanship. Alvin is an incredible teacher and trainer, his children have soaked up a ton of knowledge and training skills and with the coaching they get daily from an incredible horseman. They are able to make horses that people can enjoy no matter their skill levels and desires. We offer good gentle ponies for the little ones to finished rope horses and performance horses to good solid trail horses.

The horses we offer get to see the best of both worlds as we are able to take horses from Missouri and then to Utah to get some amazing riding opportunities in rugged Wasatch Mountains and Red Rock country riding, chasing cattle, riding rough country and getting tuned on in the arena with Joe and his crew. They spend time at both locations with a variety of riders and can handle different riders with different skills to enjoy them.
